'You Can't Be Sure About...': Kapil Dev Predicts Winner Of Ind vs Pak Asia Cup Clash

Speaking of India vs Pakistan blockbuster clash, 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev feels India has players with more experience, as compared to their Pakistan counterparts.

India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2022: Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team is all set for the blockbuster clash against arch-nemesis Pakistan on Sunday at the Dubai International cricket stadium as both teams kick off their Asia Cup 2022 campaign. India and Pakistan, regarded as one of the best teams in the world, play against each other only in Asia Cup and big ICC tournaments. The last time India played against Pakistan was in the T20 World Cup 2021, in which India faced a humiliating 10-wicket defeat, giving the Men in Green their maiden World Cup win against India.

Speaking of India vs Pakistan blockbuster clash, 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev feels India has players with more experience, as compared to their Pakistan counterparts.

"You can't be sure about anything in T20. You can predict to some extent in ODIs and Tests, but it is very difficult to predict in T20s. I will say that our team has experience and they are better, but we were better last time as well. They played better than us. So, it's quite difficult to say anything. Still, if you go into stats and players, Indian team is far better. But it all depends on how the side plays on that particular day," Kapil Dev said in a video uploaded on YouTube show 'Uncut'.

Kapil Dev's important advice for Virat Kohli

India has only few matches left ahead of T20 World Cup in Australia. Kapil Dev wants Virat to play as many gamed as possible to make it easier for himself to return to form.

"I don't think so. We shouldn't even think about it," Kapil responded to a reporter's query of whether the Asia Cup 2022 is Kohli's last audition' before the T20 World Cup on Uncut. "If we use terms like last audition, or last chance, I don't think that is right. I just want to say to him that he should keep on playing matches. Sometimes, you shouldn't be taking too many breaks. He is a professional and he should not have that problem. I personally feel he should play as many matches and as many matches he can play. That's more important. When you start scoring runs, then the thought process changes."
