New Delhi: The first Test of the two-match Test series between India and New Zealand will be played at Green Park in Kanpur. This ground has been the most favourable for India as they have lost just one Test here in the past 62 years. Team India's last defeat here was back in 1983 and since then they have remained unbeaten for the last 38 years.

The first match to take place at Green Park in Kanpur was between India and England, which took place in January 1952. India lost this match to England back then. Team India also lost the second international match played here in 1958. Back then, West Indies had defeated India. In the next match on this ground, India defeated Australia and thereby started their winning streak here. So far, Team India has won 7 and lost 3 out of 22 matches they played at Kanpur's Green Park, while 12 Tests resulted in a draw.
