Lionel Messi is a legendary name in the realm of football. Even those who don't follow the game would have heard about him or his achivements, such is the stature of the footballer. The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is all set to begin a new phase in his career as he will make his debut for the Major League Soccer (MLS) side Inter Miami. While he was recently unveiled as Inter Miami's latest signing, fans are now eagerly waiting for his debut.

When will Leo Messi make his Inter Miami Debut?

Messi, who moved from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to Miami, will make his debut for the MLS club in the Leagues Club 2023. He will play a part in the team's match against Mexican side Cruz Azul on Friday, July 21. As per the Indian Standard Time, the match will be played on July 22 with a kick off on 05:30 am. However, it is still not clear whether he will make a cameo or will play a major role in the match.

Messi's Maiden Game For Inter Miami: Ticket Prices

As was being anticipated, the ticket prices for Messi's debut match at MLS have been skyrocketing. As per a CNN report, tickets for Messi's match are being resold on Vivid Seats website at a staggering price of up to $110,000. This marks the highest recorded ticket cost for a Major League Soccer team, indicating the immense demand and excitement surrounding the event.

However, there are cheaper options as well, subject to availability. The same report has claimed that the average price for a ticket is $487 and there is a lot of craze among fans to see Messi on American shores. While Messi has played a few friendly matches before in USA, this will be his first game as a contracted member of an American club. Notably, Messi has signed a two and a half season contract with Inter Miami with multiple reports claiming that the deal also includes an option for part-ownership of the club. No official confirmation though has come from the club.
