As per The Athletic, the organiser can move the date for the match of the host nation to November 20.
"...It is understood that Qatar want to play first, as has become customary for the host nation. Their game against Ecuador is now slated to move forward to Sunday November 20," The Athletic reported.
Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup
The 2022 World Cup has a lot of firsts up its sleeves. It is the first football World Cup to be held in West Asia (Middle East) region. Also, this is for the first time that this FIFA World Cup is not played in the middle of the calendar year. This is being done in order to avoid the extreme heat in the region during May, June and July.
Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022 will feature female referees which is also the first time in football world cup history.
The tournament also allows the inclusion of 26-player squads in the 32 National Teams competing in FIFA World Cup 2022.
