A cricket discussion between an elderly Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fan and two Mumbai Indians (MI) supporters turned tragic in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. According to a report by ABP Majha, the altercation occurred when the elderly CSK fan asked about Mumbai Indians' (MI) chances of winning after Rohit Sharma's dismissal in an IPL match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Wednesday (March 27).
The inquiry from the elderly CSK fan seemingly agitated the MI supporters, leading to a violent assault with wooden sticks that inflicted fatal injuries. Sadly, despite being hospitalized, the elderly fan could not overcome the severity of his injuries and passed away.

On Wednesday (March 27), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) registered their highest-ever total in Indian Premier League (IPL) history as they posted 277/3 after batting for 20 overs against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Mumbai Indians (MI) won the toss and asked home team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to bat first. SRH went on to score the highest innings total in history of Indian Premier League (IPL), 277/8 runs in 20 overs, breaking Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)'s 11-year-old record (263/5) they set in 2013. Before SRH vs MI IPL 2024 match, RCB's 263/5 was also the highest total recorded in a T20 league.
