The India women's cricket team is all set to defend their title in the Asia Cup 2024, which will begin on July 19 in Sri Lanka. As the most successful team in the tournament's history, India has claimed the title 'record-breaking' seven times.

The defending champions, led by veteran Harmanpreet Kaur, start their campaign in Women's Asia Cup with their first match against arch-rival Pakistan in Dambulla. This year's tournament features eight teams divided into two groups: Group A includes India, Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Malaysia.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, which are scheduled to be played on July 26. The final will take place on July 28.
