'Never Let Frustration Seep In': Dhoni On How He Dealt With Career Crisis

Sources close to Dhoni confirmed that the wicket-keeper batsman doesn't have any immediate plans to retire

Former India skipper MS Dhoni, who led the Indian cricket team to two World Cup victories, hasn't played a single game for the national squad ever since the end of World Cup 2019. Dhoni made himself unavailable for selection for ongoing home series against South Africa and now fans have to wait for some more time to see Mahi back in action after the veteran decided to give a miss to the T20I series against Bangladesh, starting November 3. Sources close to Dhoni confirmed that the wicket-keeper batsman doesn't have any immediate plans to retire, adding that the 38-year-old is doing serious training every day and is following a disciplined fitness regime. In an interview in Delhi, MS Dhoni revealed how he dealt with crisis in his career. “You can’t let frustration get in. You need to stay calm and cool and keep on scoring more and more runs and keep well to get into the side,” Dhoni said during a product launch program in New Delhi. Veteran Dhoni was attending a cashless digital transaction promotional event in New Delhi. The former skipper urged everyone to opt for digital transactions to increasing cashless transactions in country. “My mother still prefers cash transaction but I am trying to motivate her to go cashless and go digital," added Dhoni.
