Both the teams will meet for the second time in the ongoing continental tournament. The first match between India and Pakistan took place on September 2 in the group stage in Kandy and was inconclusive due to rain interruption. India and Pakistan are now facing for the second time in Colombo and just like their previous encounter, even today's match faces serious rain threat. At the same venue (Colombo) Saturday's Super Fours match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka was completed without any interruption.

If there's no result on September 10, then the IND vs PAK Super 4s match will take place on Reserve Day on September 11 and if the reserve day too gets washed out due to rain then both the teams will share a point each.
