As far as South Africa's batting is concerned, Andile Phehlukwayo was the top-scorer for the team lower down the order, showing some resistance. He made 33 off 49 deliveries. Tony de Zorzi (28 off 22), Aiden Markram (12 off 21) and Tabraiz Shamsi (11 of 8) were only other batters in the South African innings who registered a score in double figures. With the ball, the Men from the Rainbow nation, Wiaan Mulder got rid of Gaikwad early giving the hosts just a glimmer of hope.
