'New Muslim League': BJP Slams Congress For 'Distorted' Indian Map On Belagavi Meeting Poster

The BJP criticised the Congress for allegedly using a distorted map of India in their posters, claiming it showed Kashmir as part of Pakistan.

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday slammed the Congress over its posters ahead of the party's working committee meeting in Karnataka's Belagavi. BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya shared an image of the poster with a map of India.

Malviya claimed that the poster had a "distorted" map showing Kashmir " as part of Pakistan."

"Sonia Gandhi, as co-president of the George Soros funded Forum of Democratic Leaders in Asia Pacific (FDL-AP) Foundation, which advocates Kashmiri Independence, is not a coincidence, but a firm belief of the Congress…," Malviya said in his X post.

"At its Belagavi event, the Congress has put up a distorted map of India on all its hoardings, along with pictures of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra, among others, showing Kashmir as part of Pakistan," Malviya claimed.

"It can’t be a mistake. It is a statement. It is part of their appeasement politics, which believes Indian Muslims are more loyal to Pakistan than India," he said, adding: "The Congress is the New Muslim League. It wants to break India, again."

The grand old party will decide on an action plan for the next year at the Congress Working Committee meeting named 'Nav Satyagraha Baithak' which will be held in Belagavi to mark the 100th anniversary of the Belgaum session presided over by Mahatma Gandhi.

The party asserted it will rake up the issue of "insult" to BR Ambedkar by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the meeting adding there will be a "strong follow-up" on the issue.

The extended CWC meeting on Thursday will see two resolutions being passed, said the party. Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh said the Congress is marking the current week as the 'Ambedkar Samman Saptah' against the "insult" of B R Ambedkar by Home Minister Shah.

He said there is only one solution to the issue which is that the home minister be sacked and apologise for his statement.
