He Will Be Back On The Field As Soon As Possible': DDCA Official On Pant's Comeback
After receiving initial treatment in Dehradun, he was airlifted to Mumbai for better medical care.
India’s batter Rishabh Pant is currently recuperating at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore, from a lethal car crash that he sustained last year. He often shares pictures and videos of his training and fans are eagerly waiting for his comeback. Recently, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) committee headed by Shyam Sharma and Harish Singla met Rishabh Pant in Bangalore.
Post meeting Pant, Sharma said that his recovery process is going well so far and was hopeful that the Delhi batter will be back on the field as soon as possible.
"He is doing well in his recovery and now he is a lot better. There is a big question about his comeback as it takes time but I hope he will be back on the field as soon as possible," Shyam told ANI.

During the recently concluded IPL 2023, Pant was spotted in the stands enjoying Delhi Capital’s game. However, Delhi had a terrible run at the IPL 2023, finishing last in the competition. The wicket-keeper batter met with a car accident while driving on the Delhi-Dehradun highway and suffered multiple injuries. After getting initial treatment in Dehradun, he was sent to Mumbai for better medical treatment.
Notably, Pant is likely to miss the upcoming Asia Cup and ODI World Cup despite making a speedy recovery. The left-hand batter even missed out on playing the IPL 2023 and as a result, the franchise appointed David Warner as skipper. The Capitals failed to qualify for the playoffs and concluded the season at the ninth spot in the points table with five wins from 14 matches.
Following a deadly car crash, he even missed out on taking part in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final for the Indian team.
