Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, India's foreign minister, said on Wednesday that his country is closely following developments involving a Chinese military ship moored in Sri Lanka. "What happens in our neighborhood, any developments which have a bearing on our security, obviously are of interest to us. "I think our spokesmen said a while ago that we are obviously monitoring any development that has bearing on our interest very, very carefully," Jaishankar said at a press conference convened by Thailand and India's foreign ministries in Bangkok.

The massive Space Launch System moon rocket from NASA, which is topped with an uncrewed astronaut capsule, started an hours-long crawl to its launchpad on Tuesday night in preparation for the behemoth's first test flight this month. Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday launched national mission 'Make India No 1' at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he called upon the 130 crore citizens of the country to join the mission and contribute towards making it a success. "We have to make India the number 1 nation in the world once again. We have to make India great again. We are beginning a national mission called 'Make India No.1' today. Every citizen of this country, 130 cr0re people have to be connected to this mission," Kejriwal said.
Nearly two weeks after resigning from the Congress, former Gujarat minister Naresh Raval and former Rajya Sabha member Raju Parmar joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) here on Wednesday, months ahead of the state Assembly polls. Both the leaders were associated with the Congress for decades. State BJP chief C R Paatil welcomed them into the party by offering them saffron scarves and caps. A large number of their supporters also joined the ruling party.

The home ministry on Wednesday issued clarification saying it has not given any direction to provide EWS flats to Rohingya Muslims in Delhi. The ministry has also asked Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his government to ensure the illegal foreigners remain at their present location. The MHA has also ordered to keep the Rohingya illegal foreigners in detention centres until their deportation as per the law. The Delhi government has been directed to declare the current site of their stay as a detention centre.
Kozhikode Sessions Court on Wednesday observed that sexual harassment will not prima facie stand when the woman (complainant) was wearing "sexually provocative dress", as it granted bail to author and social activist Civic Chandran in a sexual harassment case.Chandran had also produced the photographs of the woman with the bail application. The court said as per the photographs furnished by the accused reveal that the complainant herself was exposing to dresses which are having some sexual provocation. "So Section 354A will not prima facie stand against the accused," the judicial body added.
