Protests Erupt In Murshidabad Over Waqf Act, Prohibitory Orders Enforced – IN PICS

The protests against the Waqf Act, which came into force on Tuesday, turned violent in West Bengal's Murshidabad. Protesters hurled stones at cops in Jangipur and torched police vehicles.

Violence erupted in Jangipur area due to the enactment of Waqf Act. The protestors clashed with police, leading to stone pelting and police vehicles set on fire.
