J-Hope Completes Military Service; Jin And BTS ARMY Celebrate His Homecoming, Check Out Pics

K-pop star J-Hope from BTS was discharged from South Korea's military on Thursday after completing 18 months of service.

J-Hope’s return has sparked excitement among fans for a potential BTS reunion in the near future.

J-Hope is the second member of BTS to finish military service, following the oldest member, Jin, who completed his service in June.

Upon his release, J-Hope was greeted by Jin, around 100 cheering fans, and reporters at a military base in Wonju, Gangwon province.

J-Hope expressed gratitude to fans for their support during his service, emphasizing the dedication of soldiers protecting the country.

Shares in HYBE, the agency representing BTS, rose by 7% in early trading following J-Hope's discharge.

The remaining four BTS members began their military service in December 2023, with a reunion expected in 2025 after all have completed their duty.

BTS is ranked 41st among the best-selling artists of all time, having sold over 56 million physical albums and singles since their debut in 2013.

South Korea mandates that all able-bodied men serve in the military or social service for 18 to 21 months.

The recent revisions allowed globally recognized K-pop stars to delay service until age 30.
