The Congress vowed to continue its fight against what it saw as unjust and undemocratic actions by the income tax department as it protested the I-T notices asking the party to pay Rs 1,823 Crores.

"The BJP may try to unsettle the Congress by sending income tax claim notices, but the Congress is neither afraid nor slowing down. We are prepared, we will overcome, and we will emerge victorious," Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh remarked, as quoted by PTI.
