Monkey Attends Funeral Of 'Human Companion', Witnesses Last Rites At 'Ghat'. Video Surfaces
In the clip, the monkey can be seen sitting besides Ram Kunwar's body, refusing to leave as the family prepares for the last rites.
A heart-wrenching video of a monkey attending the last rites of his caretaker has gone viral on the internet. The monkey that developed a special bond with Ram Kunwar, a farmer in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh stayed next to the person's dead body till the rituals did not end. It also accompanied the family in the hearse van to the cremation ground.
Sahred on X, formerly Twitter, by @RanaYashwant1 the caption of the video when loosely translated in English reads, "What could be a greater example of selfless love than this. A person used to feed this monkey every day. This monkey cried bitterly on the death of that person and was involved in all the rituals from home to ghat. This video is believed to be from Didoli Joya town police station of Amroha."
#viralvideo pic.twitter.com/M13afMIpWf
