A police complaint was filed by the bride's side on March 5 after search for the groom for more than two weeks did not yield any result

The infamous Bengaluru traffic snarl turned out to be a blessing for a newly-wed man who reportedly ran away from his bride a day after their wedding. According to Times of India, the groom ran away last month when the couple was returning from church and their car got stuck in Mahadevapura.

The groom who was being chased by his newly married wife managed to escape in the traffic. The couple tied the knot on February 15 and the groom tried to flee the very next day. It is reported that the bride got to know about the affair his husband had while working in Goa.

A police complaint was filed by the bride's side on March 5 after search for the groom for more than two weeks did not yield any result, reported the news outlet. The police has launched a manhunt.

The groom who belonged to Chintamani in Chikkaballapur was being threatened by his former lover of making the videos and photographs of their private moments public due to which he was under distress.

The 22-year-old groom while speaking to Times of India said that her husband had told her about his affair and how he was being blackmailed by his former lover. She assured him that he has all the support of her family and that he should not worry.

Yet, the day after their wedding, February 16, the groom who was returning from a church visit and was seated on the front seat of the car along with his wife and other family members opened the door and ran away after the car got stuck in traffic at the Pai Layout for about 10 minutes.  His wife too got off the car and tried to chase him but was unsuccessful.

According to the bride, his husband assisted her father in running a company in Karnataka and Goa.
