New Delhi: A police officer in Uttar Pradesh has taken the initiative to educate children from underprivileged families. Yadav, in a bid to provide them with a brighter future, teaches the children for free during his off days, according to ANI.

It all began when he saw the parents begging, he approached them, and many agreed to educate their children. The school has been running for several months.

“I've started my own school & have been teaching these children for several months whenever I get a holiday. I often saw their parents begging, thereafter, I spoke with them & many were willing to educate their children”, he told ANI.

“We want to study further and go to school. We feel pretty good while studying here, so now, we regularly come here”, say the children, according to ANI.

The classes take place under a tree, which has a whiteboard, charts on letters and numbers.

Notebooks, pencils and other stationery are provided by Yadav, according to a report by The New Indian Express.
