'Manipur Symbol Of RSS And BJP's Hatred': Rahul Gandhi After Flagging Off 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' From Thoubal
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi came down heavily on the ruling BJP over the ethnic violence in Manipur saying the state is a symbol of BJP and RSS' hatred.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday trained guns on ruling BJP over the issue of prolonged ethnic violence saying the state has become a symbol hatred by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He made the comments after flagging off 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' from Manipur's Thoubal.
"Manipur is a symbol of BJP's politics, Manipur is a symbol of BJP and RSS's hatred. Manipur is a symbol of BJP's viewpoint and ideology," said the Congress leader.
"I'm in politics since 2004 and for the first time I visited a place in India where the entire infrastructure of governance has collapsed. After 29th June, Manipur wasn't Manipur anymore, it got divided and hatred was spread everywhere, lakhs of people suffered loss," added the Congress leader.

"People lost their loved ones in front of their eyes. And till now, the Indian PM has not come here to wipe your tears and hold your hand. It is a shameful thing. Maybe for PM Modi, BJP and RSS, Manipur is not a part of India," he added.
The Wayanad MP promised to the people of Manipur that his party will find the harmony and peace that the people valued and will return to them.
"You (people) have lost what you have valued but we will find what you have valued once again and bring it back to you. We understand the pain the people of Manipur have been through. We understand the hurt, the loss and the sadness you have been through," he said.
"We promise you that we will bring back what you have valued, we will bring back the harmony, the peace, the affection that this state has always been known for," the Congress MP said.

Launching a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, "PM Modi comes to Manipur to ask for votes but when the people of Manipur are in trouble he doesn't show his face."
Sharing a video from the venue, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, "The BJP tried every dirty trick to stall the launch of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur, including denying permission to hold the opening rally at the Palace grounds in Imphal."
"Yet much before the start of the rally, the Nyay Maidan in Khongjom is at full capacity."
