Dhaka: In this day and age, whether you like it or not, whether you believe it or not, a simple photo can change fortunes of an individual. Such is the case of a Bangladesh construction worker in Malaysia who has captivated social media users worldwide with a close-up photo of his. The photo shows the worker with light eyes and chiseled features, staring intensely into the camera, Kuala Lumpur-based photographer AbedenMung said in his tweet that the photograph was taken at a construction site in the Malaysian capital. It has collected thousands of likes and shares till now. "He was very shy. He didn't really know where to look at, maybe because this is a phone? I pointed to the camera many times, and many shots were not good. It was only until he truly looked at the camera. I finally got it. Isn't he beautiful?" he tweeted. The man’s distinct features also brought back memories of a tea seller in Pakistan who became an Internet sensation due to his looks and has a modelling contract. Some netizens said the photo reminded them of the 1984 National Geographic cover of Sharbat Gula, which was photographed by journalist Steve McCurry. She was famously known as the Afghan girl with sharp green eyes in a red headscarf and piercing green eyes.
