Tell them to call in 30 minutes, I am busy here: Imran Khan on French President’s call
Emmanuel Macron had phoned Imran Khan when he was in a meeting with the media persons. When Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua asked Khan to take the call, he said he was busy.
NEW DELHI: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday reportedly refused to talk to Emmanuel Macron when the French President had called him up, saying he was busy in a meeting.
Khan held a meeting with TV anchors and senior journalists where he asked them to give his team three months time to evaluate their performance, the news reported.
Macron had phoned Khan when he was in the meeting with the media persons. When Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua asked Khan to take the call, he said he was busy.
Journalist and author Hamid Mir, who was present in the meeting, tweeted: "French President Emmanuel Macron called Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan today, but he was busy in a meeting with journalists including me..."
