Taliban To Deploy Exclusive Battalion Of Suicide Bombers At Afghanistan Borders: Report

The battalion is said to be the same as the one which would conduct suicide attacks targeting the security forces of the previous Afghan government,.

New Delhi: According to recent media reports, the Taliban have created an exclusive battalion of suicide bombers which will be deployed to the borders of war-torn Afghanistan particularly in Badakhshan province.

The deputy governor of Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province, Mullah Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, has told the media about the creation of a suicide bombers’ battalion at the northeastern province which borders Tajikistan and China, news agency ANI credited Khaama Press as reporting.

Ahmadi reportedly said that the battalion is named Lashkar-e-Mansoori “Mansoor army and will be deployed to the borders of the country.

The battalion is the same as the one which would conduct suicide attacks targeting the security forces of the previous Afghan government, the deputy governor added.

The defeat of the US would not be possible if not for this battalion. These brave men would wear explosive waistcoats and would detonate the US bases in Afghanistan. These are people with literally no fear who devote themselves for the consent of ALLAH, Ahmadi said, as reported by ANI quoting Khaama Press

As per the report, along with the Lashkar-e-Mansoori, Badri 313 is another battalion that is known as one of the most equipped and modern military groups that are deployed in Kabul International Airport.

Badri313 is also said to be comprised of all suicide bombers, it informed.

UN Committee To Review Taliban Credential Issue

The update comes as the Taliban strive to gain the world’s recognition after the insurgent group took over Kabul on August 15, thereby seizing back power in the country.

Meanwhile, the UN Credentials Committee that will review the Taliban's communication in which it nominated Suhail Shaheen as Afghanistan's envoy to the UN is expected to meet in November.

The General Assembly president said that the entire 193-nation strong membership will decide on the matter once the committee submits its findings on who should sit at Kabul's seat in the world body, news agency PTI reported.

Myanmar and Afghanistan were the only two countries out of the 193-nation strong General Assembly membership that did not address the just-concluded high-level UNGA meets.
