Israel reported that rockets were targeting central parts of the country while Hamas claimed that it launched an additional 150 rockets toward Tel Aviv on Saturday evening in "response to the bombing of the residential tower in the center of Gaza City," CNN reported citing a post on Telegram.
A member of Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on X: "Less than hour ago, Hamas fired rockets at civilians in Tel Aviv."
A 14-story residential tower in central Gaza City, housing Hamas offices, was flattened in evening airstrikes. Israeli authorities had issued a warning before the strike, and the extent of casualties is yet to be determined, AP reported. - In Gaza, at least 198 people have been killed, and over 1,610 have been wounded in Israel's retaliatory actions, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
