'A Donkey Remains A Donkey': Imran Khan's Remarks Catches Attention Of Netizens | WATCH

"I felt very welcomed in the UK, but I never considered it my home...A donkey doesn't turn into a zebra just because you paint stripes on it. A donkey remains a donkey," Khan said.

New Delhi: Imran Khan, the former Pakistani Prime Minister, is back in the spotlight, but this time for the wrong reasons. Clips of his podcast recording, in which he describes his life in the United Kingdom, are circulating online, but one word in particular has piqued the internet's interest.

"I felt very welcomed in the UK, but I never considered it my home...A donkey doesn't turn into a zebra just because you paint stripes on it. A donkey remains a donkey," Khan stated in the viral video clip.

It's part of a podcast with Junaid Akram, a Pakistani content maker. He relocated from Dubai to Pakistan and manages the Instagram account ganjiswag.

Muzammil Hassan and Talha, two more content developers, were also on the programme.

Khan's official YouTube channel has posted the entire episode.

Khan was deposed as prime minister on April 10 following a no-confidence motion in the National Assembly, making him the first Pakistani prime minister to be removed by Parliament in the country's coup-prone past. After days of controversy, the vote was held after midnight.

Opposition parties formed a coalition and appointed Shehbaz Sharif as Pakistan's next Prime Minister.

Former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan had also indirectly blamed Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa for his ouster. Khan alleged that there were some elements in the establishment who were involved in "bad practices" and were responsible for his sacking as prime minister.

Recently in May, an FIR has been registered against former prime minister Imran Khan, former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, former information minister Fawad Chaudhry and other members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on charges of blasphemy.

They have been accused of committing blasphemy by planning and sending the PTI members to Saudi Arabia and having them hurl abuses, chant slogans and assault the government representatives while being inside the Holy mosque in Madina of Masjid-e-Nabwi, as per the FIR registered in Faisalabad, Punjab.
