'What A Joke': Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Slams BJP's Sushil Modi Over 'Wanted To Become VP' Claims
Speaking with reporters, Kumar said, "What a joke! It's bogus. I had no such desire. Did they forget how strongly our party backed their candidates for president and vice president elections?"
Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, on Thursday refuted Sushil Modi's assertion that the rupture between the BJP and the JD(U) was caused by his failure to be named vice president, news agency ANI reported.
The assertion, according to Nitish Kumar, is completely false. Speaking with reporters, Nitish Kumar stated, "What a joke! It's bogus. I had no such desire. Did they forget how strongly our party backed their candidates for president and vice president elections?"

Taking a jibe at BJP leader Sushil Modi for his claims, Bihar CM said, "Let them talk against me so that they get a position again."
Ending the coalition with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar took an oath as Bihar's Chief Minister again on Wednesday.
Tejashwi Yadav, RJD leader and the majority party in the Mahagathbandhan alliance, was also administered oath by Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan, as he became the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar's Chief Minister for the eighth time in a span of 22 years.
While many BJP officials thought it was a good riddance, Sushil Modi alleged on Wednesday that Nitish Kumar aspired to be India's vice-president.
