PM Modi to inaugurate 'Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam' in Delhi, coinciding with NEP's 3rd anniversary; funds to be released.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the 'Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam' at the Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, Delhi, on Saturday, as announced by his office. The 'samagam' is held in conjunction with the third anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, PM Modi will release the first installment of funds under the PM SHRI Scheme during the event.

The inauguration, scheduled for 29 July at 10 am, aims to foster schools that prepare students to be engaged, productive, and contributing citizens, in line with the NEP's vision of building an equitable, inclusive, and plural society, the statement said.

Furthermore, the prime minister will unveil education and skill curriculum books that have been translated into 12 Indian languages, it said.

The NEP 2020 seeks to prepare the youth to lead the country in the 'Amrit Kaal,' or era of possibilities, guided by PM Modi's vision. It aims to provide them with the skills they will need to face future challenges while instilling strong core human values in them, the statement said. Over the course of three years, the NEP has resulted in significant changes in school, higher, and skill education, it added.
