Priyanka Gandhi hit back saying that the government is presenting sending Indians to Israel as an achievement, rather than giving them employment in the state itself.
A day after Priyanka Gandhi sparked a political row for sporting a bag with 'Palestine' written on it as she arrived for a Parliament session, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday slammed the Congress MP for expressing her support to the war-torn country.
Yogi Adityanath stated that while the state is sending its youths to Israel where they are given free food and accommodation and are given security, Priyanka Gandhi carried a bag to support Palestine.

What Yogi Adityanath Said
CM Yogi Adityanath stressed that more than 5,600 youths of Uttar Pradesh have been sent to Israel and assured their security is in the country is "guaranteed".
"More than 12,000 youths of the state have been linked to the skill mission. Yesterday a Congress MP was carrying a bag with the Palestine flag in Parliament and we are sending the youth of UP to Israel. More than 5,600 youths have been sent to Israel. Every youth is being given free accommodation, free food, they are getting Rs 1.5 lakh extra, and full security is guaranteed," he said.
"The Israeli ambassador to India said that we want more and more youths from UP to come to Israel because the youth here are doing very good work. The whole world is acknowledging the skills of the youth of UP," the CM added.

Priyanka Gandhi Hits Back
Following Yogi Adityanath's remarks, Priyanka Gandhi retorted saying that the government is presenting sending Indians to Israel as an achievement whereas it should be providing them employment in the state. "These leaders neither understand the state’s unemployment crisis nor the pain of these youths and their families," she said.
She also cited various media reports and claimed that those who were sent to Israel for employment were "forced to risk their lives for employment" and were "hiding in bunkers" to save their lives.
"According to reports, young people who have gone to Israel for work are hiding in bunkers to save their lives, while companies are exploiting them. Their families live in constant fear. Our talented youth are forced to risk their lives for employment because the government has failed to provide jobs," she said.

"Sending our youth to war zones for employment is not something to take pride in. Throwing our youths into the war zone for employment is not something to pat on the back but a matter of shame," the Congress MP said.
BJP On The Palestine Bag Row
BJP MP Anurag Thakur slammed the Congress MP for sporting the bag and stated that she did not comment on the atrocities against Bangladeshi Hindus but "wants to make a fashion statement with the Palestine bag".
Priyanka Gandhi hit back saying, "Who is going to decide what clothes I am going to wear? This is typical patriarchy, deciding what a woman should wear".
