'No Riot In 6 Years': CM Yogi Adityanath's Pitch In Mumbai Ahead Of UP Investors' Summit

In an effort to draw domestic investors ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday attended an event in Mumbai. Speaking at the event, CM Adityanath stated: "From the state of religion, I have come to the state of finance, 5 years ago in Uttar Pradesh people used to shy away from telling their identity, but today they proudly speak about Uttar Pradesh."
"We have worked in every field without any discrimination, have given its benefits to every section of the society," he further stated.
Highlighting the achievements of his government, UP CM said: "There has been not a single riot under our government, festivals are being celebrated peacefully. Today this is the condition of Uttar Pradesh, a new model of law and order has been set up."
Talking about development projects in the state, Adityanath said: "In Uttar Pradesh, the work of infrastructure, the work of connecting the district with villages are in full swing. Today 9 airports are working, 10 are in progress, 6 are about to start."
On Thursday, CM Yogi will be meeting with bankers and representatives from the fintech industry. After this, he is scheduled to take part in the Mumbai roadshow.
Aside from Mumbai, the cities where roadshows are scheduled to be held are Chennai (January 9), New Delhi (January 13), Kolkata (January 17), Hyderabad (January 18), Ahmedabad (January 20), Bengaluru (January 23), and Chandigarh (January 27).
Slamming Yogi government, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav said: "UP govt should tell how much was implemented on the ground from previous summits. Such summits are mere betrayal. First, they send their ministers abroad then they themselves visit other cities, what's their industrial policy for investment," ANI reported.

To hold the roadshows, the state government has formed separate teams of ministers and senior officials. Separate teams led by Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak will undertake roadshows in Kolkata and Hyderabad. State ministers will also lead teams for roadshows in other cities.
Last month, eight teams from the state administration did roadshows in 21 locations across 16 nations, HT reported.
Following the international roadshows, the state administration claimed to have received investment offers (letters of intent) totalling Rs 7.12 lakh crore.
