Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma Tests Positive For Covid-19, Goes Into Home Isolation

Coronavirus: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has tested positive for Covid-. He is under home isolation and experiencing mild symptoms. He took to his official Twitter account to share the information. “I have tested positive for Covid-19. I am under home isolation and experiencing mild symptoms. I request all those who came in contact with me in the past 5 days to kindly keep a watch on their health and if necessary get tested. Stay safe,” he tweeted. Two days ago, Sangma laid the foundation stone for an indoor stadium at Jongksha village in East Khasi Hills to be built at a cost of Rs 22 crore. India’s Covid-19 scenario: So far India has reported 97,96,770  cases overall, including 29,398 new coronavirus infections and 414 deaths in the past 24 hours. The overall death toll touched 1,42,186, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said. Till now, 92,90,834 have recovered, and 37,528 in the last 24 hours. Currently, there are 3,63,749 active cases. The recovery rate stands at 94.84 per cent, and the fatality rate is 1.45 as per cent. On Thursday, 9,22,959 tests were conducted, taking the tally of total tests conducted to 15,07,59,726.
