Delhi's Maximum Temp Rises Eight Notches Above Normal To Settle At 38.3 Degrees
The weather department predicted a clear sky for Monday with maximum and minimum temperatures likely to settle around 37 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius, respectively.
New Delhi: The day temperature in Delhi Sunday settled eight notches above normal at 38.3 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). It is the highest maximum recorded for the city this season so far.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 21.2 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season’s average, the weather office said.

The relative humidity on Sunday oscillated between 75 per cent to 26 per cent, according to IMD.

Delhi's 24-hour air quality was recorded in the "poor" category. According to the central pollution control board's data Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 242.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 “satisfactory”, 101 and 200 “moderate”, 201 and 300 “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor”, and 401 and 500 “severe”.
Last week, severe heatwave conditions were observed at isolated pockets in West Rajasthan, Telangana, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Day temperature soared well over 40 degrees Celsius to make the weather uncomfortable. The maximum in Karjat was recorded at 44.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday, while Akola saw the maximum settle at 42.8 degrees.
Akola recorded a maximum temperature of 42.8 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Mumbai today is expected to be 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 24 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Pune is expected to be 38 and the minimum temperature will be 20 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature in Mumbai today is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is likely to settle around 24 degrees. The maximum in Pune will be warm at 38 degrees. The minimum will, however, settle close to 20 degrees Celsius.
