New Delhi: Officials stated on Friday that the Jammu and Kashmir Police, together with the Army's 55RR and CRPF, had broken a terror cell of the banned outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in South Kashmir's Pulwama area by arresting three terrorist affiliates.
They have been identified as Owais Altaf of Jandwal, Aqib Manzoor of Gudoora, and Waseem Ahmad Pandit of Karimabad Pulwama, news agency IANS reported.
"Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested trio was involved in providing logistics and transportation to terrorists in the district," police was quoted by IANS in its report.

On their revelation, the police claimed, incriminating materials, weaponry and ammunition, including an AK rifle, three magazines, 69 AK rounds, and a grenade, were seized, news agency PTI reported.
The police have filed a report, and an investigation is underway.
LeT Terrorist Killed In Encounter With Security Forces In Shopian's Turkwangam Area
Earlier today, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Turkwangam area of Shopian district in south Kashmir during the night after receiving inputs about the presence of terrorists there, news agency PTI reported a police official as saying.
According to a police spokesperson, the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants fired upon the forces, who retaliated.
