J&K LG Sinha Pays Tribute To 5 Army Jawans Martyred In Explosion During Rajouri Encounter — WATCH
Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha paid homage to the five army personnel who lost their lives in an explosion on Friday during an encounter with terrorists in the Rajouri district.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha on Saturday paid his last respects to five army personnel that died in an explosion during an encounter with terrorists in Rajouri district on Friday. He paid homage to the deceased in front of other army officers who also participated in the ceremony. On Friday, five Army officials were killed when militants cornered by the troops triggered an explosion in a densely forested area of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. Another officer got injured in the explosion which was caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
News agency ANI on Twitter posted a video showcasing the LG paying homage to the deceased.

In the two-minute video, the LG was seen laying wreaths on the mortal remains of the five army personnel and saluting them one by one.
Apart from these five, two soldiers were killed earlier while three out of four soldiers who were injured succumbed to their injuries later, the Army said in a statement.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also arrived in Jammu on Saturday to review the security situation in the Jammu sector. Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande will also be visiting Jammu along with Singh to review the security situation. Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi is already on ground zero, reported ANI citing defence sources.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also pay tributes to the five martyrs in Rajouri.
