IND Vs AUS: Stunning Sand Art At Puri Beach For Team India. Sonia Gandhi Says 'Cricket Has Always...'

Ahead of the IND Vs AUS finale faceoff, sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik made a stunning sand art in Puri while Congress veteran Sonia Gandhi also lauded Team India's exceptional performance.

Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik expressed his best wishes for Team India ahead of the India-Australia ICC Cricket World Cup final through a stunning sand art creation on the beach in Puri. The intricate artwork comes in a move for support wishing good luck for the team as they gear up for the crucial final scheduled for November 19.

As people across India are looking forward to watching the finale faceoff, Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi lauded Team India's exceptional performance and teamwork during the ICC Cricket World Cup. In a video message, she congratulated the team for consistently bringing glory to the nation.

Sonia Gandhi commended the inspiring journey to the finals, highlighting the lessons of unity, hard work, determination, and unwavering self-belief that extend beyond the cricket field.

"Dear team India, I would like to first begin by congratulating you for your incredible performance and excellent teamwork during this World Cup. You have consistently brought glory to the country. And given us all reasons to be collectively joyous and proud. Your journey to the finals has been inspiring and has valuable lessons that extend beyond the cricket field. These lessons are about unity, hard work, determination, and unwavering belief in yourself. I must also make a mention of individual records and stellar match-winning performances," she said.

Drawing parallels with India's previous World Cup victories in 1983 and 2011, she expressed confidence in the team's ability saying, "I am reminded at this moment about the two previous occasions when India had listed the World Cup trophy first in 1983, and then in 2011. On both those occasions, the nation felt honoured and interacted with joy. Cricket has always united our country beyond gender, region, language, religion, and class. And now as you get ready for the final this year, the entire country is rooting for you. I send you my best wishes. You have what it takes to be world champions. Good luck team India, jai Hind".

In a show of support, Congress workers conducted a havan at the party headquarters in Lucknow, praying for India's success in the World Cup final against Australia. Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Rai organised the hawan, expressing confidence in India's victory based on the outstanding performance throughout the tournament.

Priests chanted mantras and performed special pujas to seek blessings for India's triumph. An LED screen will be installed at the party headquarters for a live telecast of the match, a party release said, as reported by news agency PTI.

A special puja was performed at Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain earlier today for India's victory in the ICC World Cup final match against Australia.
