India Reports Less Than 2 Lakh Covid Cases For 2nd Consecutive Day, 3460 Fatalities
India has reported less than 2 lakh cases for 2nd consecutive day with 1.65 lakh new cases.
Covid In India: The country has been witnessing a downward trend in daily Coronavirus cases and India has registered less than 2 lakh cases for the 2nd consecutive. However, the number of daily fatalities is still worrisome.
India reports 1,65,553 new COVID 19 cases, 2,76,309 discharges & 3,460 deaths in last 24 hrs, as per Health Ministry.

Death toll: 3,25,972
Active cases: 21,14,508
Total vaccination: 21,20,66,614
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that a total of 34,31,83,748 samples tested up to May 29. Of which, 20,63,839 samples were tested yesterday.
The positivity rate has been less than 10 per cent for the last five days.
States have now decided to begin the unlock process in phased manner, lifting fee curbs in the first phase.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said his government will start unlocking the city gradually from Monday. The national capital has been under a lockdown since April 19 as it saw an unprecedented surge in Covid cases and health infrastructure buckled under the pressure of an increase in the number of patients.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has said his government will extend the lockdown-like restrictions after June 1, and ease the curbs in a phased manner. The state has the country's highest caseload but Mumbai, among other cities, has now been witnessing a drop in positivity rate.
