Fugitive Amritpal Singh was on Sunday arrested in Punjab's Moga, state police informed. The Waris Punjab De chief is being taken to Dibrugarh jail in Assam via Bathinda Air Force Station. According to sources, the Punjab Police was making plans for his detainment since late last night. A video surfaced that showed him addressing a gathering in Rodewal gurdwara in Moga's Rode village before his arrest. The Khalistan sympathiser was arrested by Punjab Police near a Gurdwara in Moga amid the mounting pressure put up by Punjab Police for the same.

A few months ago, Amritpal married Punjab-origin Kirandeep Kaur living in the UK, since then both were living in Jallupur Kheda which is Amritpal's village. Currently, she is reportedly being questioned by the Immigration Department.
