The recent wedding of Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani saw a viral moment featuring his Riddhima Kapoor Sahni’s daughter Samara Sahni and grandmother Neetu Kapoor. One particular clip from the wedding festivities set social media ablaze. In the video, Riddhima and Samara are seen posing for photographers when Neetu Kapoor enters the frame and attempts to put her arm around her granddaughter. Netizens' reaction to Samara Sahni's video

This fleeting moment triggered a flurry of speculation online, with netizens dissecting what might have gone wrong. Social media quickly turned into a body language analysis forum, with users debating whether Samara was annoyed or simply caught in an awkward moment. Some speculated that a comment from Neetu Kapoor could have dampened her mood. One user theorised, “Her nani must have said something about her dress, and she got upset. Classic teen moment.” Another pointed out, “Look how her smile fades the second Neetu walks in. Definitely something’s up!”

Others attributed her expression to dissatisfaction with her outfit, with comments like, “This is what happens when you're forced into a tacky dress instead of what you wanted to wear.” Some, however, dismissed the speculation altogether, chalking it up to teenage behavior. “She’s a kid, guys. Maybe she just didn’t like her outfit or was tired. No need to overanalyze.”

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni reacts to the viral video

With the growing chatter, Riddhima Kapoor set the record straight. Speaking about the video, she told Hindustan Times, “The whole thing got blown out of proportion. The poor child was just trying to pose. She was actually very excited about the wedding and kept saying in the car, ‘Oh my God, there are going to be photographers! I’ll pose like this and that.’ So when the paparazzi called us together, she simply wanted her solo moment. She didn’t push her nani.”

She also shared Samara’s reaction to the controversy, saying, “She was so confused when she saw the comments. She told me, ‘When did I push her? I was just extending my arm to get comfortable while posing.’”

Riddhima further revealed that Samara is becoming more aware of her public image and the scrutiny that comes with being part of Bollywood’s most famous family. Reflecting on past instances where her daughter’s playful demeanor at the airport was criticised, Riddhima recalled Samara saying, “Last time, they had a problem when I was being goofy. Now, when I do nothing, they still have a problem!”
