Xiaomi Reveals Official Launch Date For Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Design Showcased

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is set to be introduced in China on February 27 at 7:00 PM local time (4:30 PM IST).

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch date for its upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone in China. The flagship device will be unveiled alongside the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric car, marking a significant launch event in the company’s home market. Alongside the announcement, Xiaomi has also released official images showcasing the design of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which will feature Leica-branded cameras and the HyperOS interface.

Additionally, the brand is preparing for the global unveiling of its camera-centric flagship at MWC 2025.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra: When Will The Launch Happen?

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is set to be introduced in China on February 27 at 7:00 PM local time (4:30 PM IST).

The event will also witness the launch of multiple Xiaomi products, including the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra EV, RedmiBook 16 Pro 2025, and Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro earbuds. The company has been teasing the design of the smartphone through its official Weibo handle and China website.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra: Design, Pre-Order Details

Pre-orders for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra have already begun via Mi Mall in China. The official renders reveal a dual-tone design, featuring a circular rear camera module, similar to previous Xiaomi Ultra series models. The device sports a quad-camera setup with an LED flash strip, housed in a layout that reflects Xiaomi’s continued collaboration with Leica. The rear panel combines glass and vegan leather, reminiscent of classic Leica cameras. Additionally, the phone features an italicized ‘Ultra’ branding on the top-right corner of the back panel.

With these premium design elements and high-end specifications, Xiaomi is setting the stage for yet another flagship release in both the smartphone and EV segments.

The successor to last year's Xiaomi 14 Ultra is confirmed to debut in global markets at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona on March 2. 

Xiaomi 15 Ultra: Specifications

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra was previously spotted on the Geekbench AI database, revealing that it runs on Android 15, packs 16GB of RAM, and is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

The smartphone is expected to come equipped with a quad-camera setup on the back, featuring a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor, a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultra-wide lens, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 telephoto sensor, and a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor supporting 4.3x optical zoom. Additionally, the device is likely to feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for enhanced durability.
