Aggression Over Corona, Border Dispute Calls For 'Make In India'; Citizens Boycott Chinese Products

The Coronavirus pandemic and rising border disputes has provoked aggression among Indian citizens. People have resorted to "wallet power" in order to take revenge from the neighboring country China.

Over the past three months, India is fighting a battle against the deadly Coronavirus which first appeared in the Wuhan city of China. The contagious disease has infected nearly 2 lakh people in the country and claimed over 5,000 lives. The pandemic paralyzed people's movement  due to nationwide lockdown, and incurred huge losses to daily wage workers, individuals, firms and governments. While the country struggles to deal with the imminent threat COVID-19, Chinese troops and Indian Army seem to be locking horns in a face-off along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Western Ladakh, where China's People's Liberation Army has beefed up its military assets by reportedly moving two brigades along the Galwin Valley and Pangong Tso Lake region. Since then, both the Asian neighbours are constantly involved in several rounds of talks to resolve the standoff in Ladakh, but no breakthrough has been found so far. The Coronavirus pandemic and rising border disputes has provoked aggression among Indian citizens. People have resorted to "wallet power" in order to take revenge from the neighboring country China.  BoycottChina, #BoycottMadeinChina, #BoycottChineseApps, #MakeInIndia, #SelfReliantIndia and other similar movements are trending on social media. In fact, citizens have found an application named 'Remove China Apps' which does exactly what the same suggests. According to the reports, app developing firm AppLabs has introduced this application that scans an individuals' phone, identifies Chinese made apps and facilitates with the option of deleting those apps. Besides the tech space, the citizens are also boycotting other Made In China products including electronic items and home utility products sold in the open markets. This comes after education reformer and innovator Sonam Wangchuk few days back posted a video on YouTube sharing a strategic plan to fight back China by boycotting everything Chinese to take revenge for rising tensions between India and China.
