China, India Achieve 'Progress' In Further Disengagement Talks During 4th Corps Commander-Level Meeting: Beijing

As the de-escalation process to douse the simmering tensions between India and China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Ladakh sector continues, Beijing came out with a positive statement on Wednesday, stating that the fourth commander-level talks between Indian and Chinese militaries achieved notable progress in further aiding disengagement between troops at the border and easing situation at the western sector. Conveying a strong message to Beijing, the Indian delegation apprised the Chinese PLA about the "red lines" and sent a “very clear” message to the neighbouring country that status quo ante must be restored in eastern Ladakh, sources said.
