Bandra-Worli Sea Link Accident: 5 Dead After Car Crashes Into Ambulance, 8 Undergoing Treatment

New Delhi: At least five out of 13 injured died in the Bandra Worli Sea Link road accident after a speeding car rammed into an accident site on the Bandra-Worli sea link in Mumbai in the early morning hours of Wednesday, as reported by the news agency ANI. 8 people are undergoing treatment, as reported by news agency ANI, citing the Mumbai Police officials.

A car being driven at a high speed crashed into the ambulance and three more vehicles as well as the car that was involved in the previous crash. Police rushed to the spot after receiving information and the relief and rescue operations are underway. Police took the injured to the hospital with the help of local people. The condition of many is very critical, as reported by ANI.

The road from Bandra to Worli has been closed after the accident.

"Pained by the loss of lives due to an accident on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai. Condolences to the bereaved families. I hope that those who have been injured have a speedy recovery," PMO tweeted.
