PUBG 'Lite' coming to India: Play it on low-end PCs for free! Details here

For the Indian fans who tend to suffer due to connectivity issues throughout the country and another reason being the popularity of lower-end smartphone in the country, PUBG Lite has come as a blessing for them.

New Delhi: Chinese tech giant Tencent is set to bring a "Lite" version of its popular online game PUBG (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds) in India, in a bid to cater to those who use low-end hardware and expand its user base. After running succesfully in various places like Hong Kong, Taiwan, Brazil and Bangladesh, PUBG India Facebook page has now confirmed that this version is coming to India soon. "We are thrilled to announce that PUBG LITE will soon be expanding to India!" the post said. However, there is no word from PUBG Corp regarding an exact release date. For the Indian fans who tend to suffer due to connectivity issues throughout the country and another reason being the popularity of lower-end smartphone in the country, PUBG Lite has come as a blessing for them. Besides, to make it more accessible, PUBG LITE is free to download and play, just like the mobile version!

• PUBG Lite is targeted at gamers who don't have a beastly gaming rig but still want to enjoy the game on a modest PC hardware • PUBG Lite, built for low-end hardware, is a toned down version of the original version • Besides helping those with affordable smartphones, this new version of the game may also help players who face connectivity issues • PUBG LITE is free to download and play, just like the mobile version • Instead of multiple maps, PUBG LITE will only come with Sanhok, Miramar and Erangel Listed below are the minimum and recommended specifications for PUBG Lite: • To play PUBG Lite, one need need to have at least an Intel Core i3 processor and Intel HD Graphics 4000 with DirectX 11 graphics support • To make it compatible with low-end PCs, the developers have to optimised the contents • PUBG LITE will only require 4GB of space on your PC Additionally, Tencent games will be releasing a new update for PUBG Mobile soon. The 0.13.0 update has already gone live in beta. According to a new report from mobile app intelligence firm Sensor Tower, Tencent's revenue from PUBG Mobile and its new version, Game For Peace, crossed $4.8 million a day in May, becoming the worlds top grossing mobile app. The two versions combined to generate an estimated $146 million in player spending during the month of May, about 126 per cent more than the nearly $65 million PUBG Mobile alone grossed in April, according to the estimate which excluded Android revenue from China.
