Coronavirus HIGHLIGHTS, May 11: India on Monday recorded a significant drop in the number of daily Covid-19 cases. The country lodged 3,66,161 fresh infections 3,53,818 discharges and 3,754 deaths. Two of the worst hit states - Delhi and Maharashtra witnessed signs of slight slowdown in fatalities as well as fresh cases of Coronavirus. In the national capital, for the first time in days, recoveries surpassed fresh infections as 13,306 people were discharged. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization said that the Covid-19 variant spreading in India, which is facing an explosive outbreak, appears to be more contagious and has been classified as being “of concern."

Terminal 2 Of Delhi Airport to Be Temporarily Shut From May 18 Midnight
The Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport will temporarily close Terminal 2 of the due to a fall in passenger traffic, CNBC-TV18 reported citing airport officials. It will remain shut from midnight of May 18.
Daily traffic at the airport has fallen to around 30,000 passengers currently, the report stated.
