India Reports 43,393 New Cases With 911 People Succumbing To Covid In Last 24 Hrs
With 44,459 people getting recovered, the recovery rate has gone up to 97.19 per cent
New Delhi: India reported 43,393 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours while 44,459 people recovered from the deadly virus across the country. The daily positivity rate has come down to 2.42 per cent — less than 3 per cent for the 18th day in a row. The recovery rate increases to 97.19 per cent.

The Health Ministry also informed that the active cases now constitute 1.49% of the total cases. The weekly positivity rate remains below 5% and is currently at 2.36%. The daily positivity rate is at 2.42%, less than 3% for 18 consecutive days.
Testing capacity has been substantially ramped up as the number of people so far has gone up to 42.70 crore. 36.89 crore vaccine doses administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
Tamil Nadu reported 3,211 new Covid cases with 3,565 recoveries and 57 fatalities on Thursday. With these cases included the active caseload becomes 33,665 and the death toll due to the deadly virus in the state has gone up to 33,253 with 24,43,141 people recovered from the virus.

While Delhi reported 93 new Covid cases, 101 recoveries recorded with three people succumbing to the deadly virus in the capital city. The Test Positivity Rate dropped to 0.12 per cent while the total tests conducted were 77,979.
