Set to become Mahindra’s most spacious vehicle till date, the Marazzo will pack a new diesel engine and a host of unique features

Update: Mahindra Marazzo launched at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India)
Continuing to derive inspiration from creatures of the wild, Mahindra is set to launch its new MPV, the shark-inspired Marazzo, tomorrow. The Marazzo brings a lot of firsts with it, especially in terms of features, cabin space and packaging. Here’s all that you need to know about the new MPV.
The Mahindra Marazzo will pack features such as projector headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, leatherette seat covers, roof-integrated surround cooling system and an instrument cluster with a large MID (multi-info display). It is also likely to be equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The MPV will be offered with a choice of seven or eight seats, depending on your needs.

At launch, the Marazzo will only be available with a diesel engine. Since Mahindra calls it a “virtually new” diesel engine. It is expected to be a 1.5-litre diesel engine. A petrol engine, which is still under development, could be introduced at a later stage.
Mahindra is expected to position the Marazzo as a premium offering for private car owners. Thus, it will hold a higher position in the company’s product portfolio and sit above the TUV300 Plus and the Bolero Power+. It is likely to be priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). We have already assessed the expected pricing of the MPV and also pitted it against its rivals such as the Toyota Innova Crysta and the second-gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
