Netizens Believe They Figured Out Why Namrata Shirodkar Wasn't Crowned Miss Universe In 1993
Former model Namrata Shirodkar's clip from Miss Universe 1993 is going viral on social media platforms.
New Delhi: Indian actor and former model Namrata Shirodkar represented the nation at Miss Universe in 1993. Currently, an old video of the model is going viral on social media platforms like Reddit and Instagram.
During the questions round of the beauty pageant, Namrata Shirodkar, who was wearing a golden gown and huge jewellery, can be seen in the clip. Namrata Shirodkar was questioned about her desire to live forever during the session. Many internet users were disappointed with Namrata's concise response, whereas others said that it cost her the chance to take home the Miss Universe crown.

When asked if she would like to "live forever," Namrata replied that she would not only because she "believed no one could live forever." Her response was not well-received by the judges, and she finished in sixth place in Miss Universe 1993.
It seems that many are not delighted with Namrata's answer as her old video is being discussed on Reddit. Some of them even claimed that her "dumb" response to the "hypothetical" question she was asked ruined her chance to win the Miss Universe title.

In 1993, Shirodkar was picked as the first runner-up while representing India in the Miss Asia Pacific pageant.
Namrata Shirodkar appeared in several films including 'Kachche Dhaage', 'Vaastav: The Reality', 'Pukar', 'Dil Vil Pyar Vyar', and 'Bride and Prejudice'. After being married to Mahesh Babu in 2005, Namrata gave up her career. The couple have have two children together – daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni and son Gautam Ghattamaneni.
