Shubh Muhurat Of Magh Purnima:

When comes the auspicious time of Magh Purnima, that time is on February 5 from sunrise till 2:41 P.M. Apart from that, Saubhagya Yoga will be held on February 5 from 2:41P.M to 3:25 P.M on February 6, when worship is considered very auspicious.

Puja Vidhi Of Magh Purnima:

  • It is customary to bathe in a sacred river before dawn on Maghi Purnima.
  • After bathing, sing the Surya Mantra and offer Arghya to the Sun God.
  • To honour Lord Krishna, one should fast after taking a bath.
  • The poor, needy, and Brahmins should be fed and given charity.
  • Sesame and black sesame seeds, in particular, should be contributed.
  • Havan with black sesame should be performed in the month of Magh, and ancestors should be offered black sesame.
  • The Gayatri Mantra, also known as the 'Om Namo Narayan' mantra, should be chanted 108 times constantly.

Significance Of Magh Purnima:

Magh Purnima is significant not only from a religious standpoint, but also from an astrological standpoint. The Moon enters Cancer on this day. As a result, on the day of Magh Purnima, the moon should be visible and moon worship performed. It is believed that by worshipping the moon, the mind becomes stronger and the person's fickleness reduces because the moon is considered to be a mental factor.
