Korean Man Sings 'Kabira' From 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' To Congratulate His Newly Wed Indian Friend. Watch Video

In the video, he mentioned that he wrote down the lyrics in Korean and kept on listening to only 'Kabira' and practising it every day- at work, before bed, and even in the bathroom!

New Delhi: It is often said that music knows no boundaries and limitations, and this has been recently proved by a Korean singer who sang the popular song 'Kabira' from the movie 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' at an Indian wedding. Yes, most Bollywood music crosses the Indian borders and makes the world groove to its beats, but this was at a whole new level.

A video is doing the rounds on the internet where a Korean singer by the name of Kim Jaehyeon is seen practising for a Sangeet performance. In the video, he mentioned that he wrote down the lyrics in Korean and kept on listening to only 'Kabira' and practising it every day- at work, before bed, and even in the bathroom! Needless to say, his efforts were rewarded, as he delivered an outstanding performance despite his inability to "speak any Indian languages at all."

Kim uploaded the video on his Instagram handle with the caption, "I can not speak any Indian languages at all, but to offer my congratulations to the newlywed couple Nishant Gawande & Pranjali, I prepared this song.  Although I made a lot of mistakes on the stage, I loved and appreciated that everybody likes my singing! Thank you."

Additionally, he also thanked the person who had helped him prepare the song.

Netizens are overjoyed upon seeing the video and have appreciated his efforts and performance. Pranjali, the newlywed for whom Kim sang the song comments on his video. She said, "I saw you practising with Piyu even before I started practising my dance. I cannot imagine someone putting so much effort into a song in our sangeet! You’re a gem of a person and we’re lucky to have you in our lives." adding a couple of emojis to her post.

To this, Kim in turn said, "Thank you so much. I'm also lucky to have you guys in my life! Once again thank you so much for inviting me "

Other social media users have also left their comments. One of them said, "You did amazing Jaehyeon! It's not easy to sing in a language you've not learnt or spoken in!", while another person wrote, "This shows dedication! Another form of showing your love and concern! Some people would not even bother to attempt this because they’re too shy or they have stage fright but it’s great to see him overcome this barrier!"

A third user commented, "Learning on your own, singing so perfectly, adding your notes & the 'Me Ganar Ahe' part, I must say, you stole the show."
