The accumulation of bilirubin causes a yellowish hue on the skin and eyes, progressing from yellow to greenish in color as the disease advances.

Symptoms Of Jaundice:

Common symptoms of jaundice include yellowish skin, dark-colored urine, pale stools, itching, and yellow discoloration in the mouth. Additional symptoms such as fever, chills, abdominal pain, and flu-like symptoms can also be associated with jaundice. According to a report by Harvard, jaundice results from the accumulation of bilirubin, a yellow pigment, and is often accompanied by dark yellow or brown urine due to excess bilirubin.
