'Who Wants AAP To Form Govt In Kerala?': Arvind Kejriwal After Announcing Alliance With Twenty20

Kejriwal said that the southern state will now have four political alliances – LDF, UDF, NDA and the new alliance will be known as People’s Welfare Alliance.

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced that his party and Twenty20 party has decided to form an alliance in Kerala. He made the announcement while addressing an event in Kochi. Kejriwal said that the southern state will now have four political alliances – LDF, UDF, NDA and the new alliance will be known as People’s Welfare Alliance.

Hinting at his interest in contesting the elections in the state, Kejriwal, as quoted in a tweet by his party, said, “Kerala is God's Own Country. Such a beautiful place, such beautiful people! 10 years ago, nobody knew Arvind Kejriwal. Today, we have govts in Delhi & Punjab. This was all because of God. Now, who wants AAP to form government in Kerala?”

In his bid to woo the voters in Kerala, Kejriwal asked if the people of the state want free electricity.

“Inverter, generator shops have been shut in Delhi because of 24*7 power supply, which is free of cost...Do the people of Kerala not want free electricity too?” news agency ANI quoted the AAP convener as saying.

Talking about his government in Delhi, Kejriwal said that a poor labourer gets a minimum wage of over Rs 15,000, that is the highest in India. Apart that, he gets quality free healthcare, education, transport for women, electricity and water.

“When I fasted for 15 days, doctors said I won't survive. But here I am. All because of God. Our newly formed party's candidates- Housewives, Students, and Mobile repairers, defeated the sitting CM of Punjab & Delhi. All because of God,” Kejriwal added.

Earlier in the day, Kejriwal visited the country’s first Food Security Mart, a revolutionary initiative by the Twenty20 party led by Sabu Jacob in Kizhakkambalam.

Apart from this, the Delhi Chief Minister also visited God's Villa project by Twenty20 in Kizhakkambalam. Kejriwal showered praises on Sabu Jacob and his team for converting a Laksham Veedu colony to this beautiful housing complex.

It is to be noted that this is the first visit of Arvind Kejriwal to Kerala after he won the Delhi assembly elections for the second consecutive term in 2020.
