Vidya Accused In 'Fake Certificates For Job' Case Still On Run, CPM Leaders Defensive

The Kerala police are on the lookout for her after registering a strong case of forgery.

Former SFI leader K Vidya, who was accused of submitting fake job experience certificates to secure a job, is still on the run. The police force went to search her house on Saturday morning but found it locked. The Kerala police are on the lookout for her after registering a strong case of forgery.

K Vidya, a resident of Kasargod, did her MA in Malayalam during 2016 - 2018 at Maharaja's College but she claimed that she worked as a guest lecturer at the college during 2018-19 and 2020-21. The issue came to light after a teacher of Wayanad Government College contacted Maharaja's College to check the authenticity of the certificates submitted by Vidya during the interview.

Meanwhile, State Industries Minister P Rajeev denied that Vidya was an SFI leader. Rajeev said that SFI was a big organisation and there are many activities. Just because one person does a wrong thing the organisation should not be criticised for it.

Top CPI(M) leaders said Vidya was not an SFI leader, as per IANS.

The KSU, the students' wing of the Congress party told that Vidya violated all rules while pursuing MPhil and PhD. Top KSU officials said to IANS, "Everything that she has done seems to be wrong. Without the support of the CPI(M) higher-ups, how can a person succeed in violating all rules when it comes to her M.Phil, Ph.D. and finally getting a teaching job using a fake experience certificate? An ordinary probe will not help and only a judicial probe will bring out the truth."

Kerala Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan said that the scenario is such that SFI activists can do anything and still get away with it.

He alleged that the hands of the police team have been tied down and they are unable to take any action against SFI leaders.
